Integrative Wellness Specialist

Do you wish you could experience more balance in your mind, body, and spirit? Do you need a non-judgmental and compassionate space in which to explore the areas of your life that are no longer serving you and consider how you might make some changes? Are you trying to make sense of the big questions of life such as: Why am I here? Where am I going? Why is this happening to me? Do you wish you could incorporate spirituality, mindfulness, or other wellness rituals into your everyday life, but are not sure where to start?

My Story

I believe that each of us is a beloved and innately resilient being, and that we are created to be in healthy and life-giving relationships with each other and the world around us. I also believe that the wounds of past relationships experienced in our own families, faith communities, and relationships often keep many folks from being able to access their own resources to better understand, cope, and thrive in their lives.

I enjoy working with folks of any age or background and have a specific interest in working with LGBTQIA+ folks who are curious about how to build more balance and resilience into their lives.  I have worked as an Interfaith Chaplain and spiritual care practitioner in healthcare, religious, and community-based organizations for over twenty years, and through this work I have discovered that I am passionate about helping folks strengthen their mind-body-spirit connections to themselves and the world around them.

My approach centers on getting to know your unique story and your hopes, dreams, and goals for yourself.  Together, we will hold space for any painful elements in your story and help you identify perspectives, practices, and rituals that may be life-giving to you as seek healing and balance. I also believe strongly in the power of interdisciplinary work, so will never hesitate to get you connected with a mental health provider if therapeutic issues arise in our work together.

Fun Facts About Me:

  1. I spent considerable time in my younger years traveling and living in Eastern Europe, North Africa, and Southeast Asia.

  2. These days I travel as often as possible with my wife and daughter. Our favorite destination is probably a toss-up between Ireland and Alaska.

  3. Rainy days are my favorite days. Give me a cup of tea and book and I’m happy!
